Experience at Pioneer!!!

My internship days at Pioneer… Whenever I think of them, three things come into my mind: Hot weather of July, maggi and my 3 published stories. Those days were actually amazing. I was new to the routine, office was far and the hot summery weather used to suck out all the energy from my body but still I used to go everyday hoping to experience something new each day.

I learnt so much about designing and writing; took the telephonic interview of Raginni Khanna, Rohit Roy, Rajeshwari and many other television actors; and even attended a press conference of Bol Bachchan where I met Abhishek and Ajay. This was all new to me. I used to get nervous and confused sometimes, but there were people who always supported and encouraged me… Priyanka who worked as a writer was one of them.

I remember the day; I was sitting on my desk and was upset. Priyanka came to me and asked me what happened? I told her that I need to have atleast 3 published stories to show in my college. 6 days are left of my internship and I don’t even have a single story. After listing this she went for her work and came back after sometime with a list of few numbers. She handed me the list and said “Call these TV actors and take the interview. I will make sure that your interviews get publish.” After listening this I actually hugged her. Thanks to her, I got three by-lines.

This year also, I am ready to do internship in electronics; again super excited, full of curiosity and hoping to learn new things. Let’s see, what will be the new experiences this time?

More is always less!

"I cried for not having shoes till I saw a man with no legs.”

I just read this quote on facebook and felt that we people actually never realize the importance of existing things in our life. We always want more and more, bigger and better. More becomes less the very next day. I am not saying that it is wrong to demand or struggle for better things in life but crying for it or always yelling for more is absolutely wrong; after all, you have numerous other things which are important in your life and makes you happy.

Just once compare your life with a laborer who struggles the entire day for food or a boy who is not able to get even his primary education and has to work at a tea stall. Then you may realize that how lucky you are.

A smartphone or a car is just a necessity for you but it is a luxury for others. Therefore, demand less and start giving the importance to your family, friends and other valuable things in your life which keeps you happy.

Tips to be happy!!!

Happiness is what everyone wants! It is the ultimate pleasure for which everybody struggle the entire life and try to find it in money, power and fame. But happiness needs no struggling. It is determined more by our minds than by our circumstances and can be achieved by everyone. Therefore, here are some tips to achieve happiness:

·        Do things that make you happy: Although this sounds obvious, many people simple forget to do things from which they gain pleasure. And do them as often as possible.
·       Play and have fun: Don’t take life too seriously. Although we all have responsibilities there’s no reason why we can’t approach much of our lives in a playful manner. In fact, those who do so will undoubtedly be happier.
·     Learn to like and ideally to love yourself: We must love before we can be loved. To love others and to be loved by others is a key component of happiness.
·       Identify where your strengths lie: Know where your faults and weaknesses are to avoid problems. Know where your strengths lie to be really happy and to succeed in life.
·         Invest time and energy in to your key relationships: Happy people spend more time working on and in their relationships. Happy people tend to be more supportive of other people in their life. Happy people are more generous and altruistic.
·     Plant happier, optimistic thoughts: There are two parts to developing helpful, optimistic thinking. The first is to weed out unhelpful negative thoughts and the second is to plant more positive, optimistic ones. This is essentially a skill, and like any other skill becomes easier and more effective with practice.
·       Control what you can control: Accept what you can’t control. And learn to be wise enough to know the difference. Control what you can control. Accept what you can’t control. And learn to be wise enough to know the difference.
·       Live in the present moment: The only moment in which we can truly be happy is the present moment. The only moment over which we have control is the present moment. So be happy now! Because if not now, then when?
·      Make happiness an integral part of your life: Develop happiness routines and make them a part of your everyday living. Remind yourself however you can to do what you need to do and reward yourself as often as possible for doing what you've done.

Friends for life!

Friends are the most amazing part of life. They laugh with you, cry with you, tease you, share with you… Life can’t be imagined without them; after all, they are the ones who understand you a bit more than you understand yourself. There is a saying "Making a million friends is not a miracle. The miracle is to make a friend who will stand with you when millions are against you." And through God’s grace, I just don’t have one but numerous friends which will be by my side when I will need them. Love you all!

An ode to true friendship!

After a very long time I went to watch a movie for which i was eagerly waiting... A movie about relationships, loss and male bonding... Kai po che! The movie created so much curiosity in me with its promos and music, I had to watch it; and after watching it, I was so much influenced by the movie that I decided to write a blog on it.

The movie was based on Chetan Bhagat' novel "The three mistakes of my life". Ishaan, Omi and Govind played by Sushant, Amit and Raj respectively made me feel how beautiful friendship can be. The story starts with the 3 best friends who together starts a business of sports gear shop with a sports academy. Ishaan is an aspirant cricketer who himself never got a chance to play for India and therefore trains a poor but talented boy, Ali so that he fulfills Ishaan's dream of playing for India. Omi is more into politics and assists his rigid uncle who holds a strong position in a political party. Govind is the one who manages the business and wants to be a big money maker one day.

Unlike the other friendship based movies, it is more realistic as it doesn't show friends just hanging around with a bottle of a beer in a jeep. It depicts that friends are there with you not only in the good times but in your worse too. The movie amazingly portrayed all the Gujarat happenings in the early 2000s from the Gujarat earthquake to the Godhra riots. In terms of acting, all the three leads performed amazingly well but Sushant was king of all. Music by Amit Trivedi took the heart away, especially 'Manja'. But the major credit should be given to the magical man responsible for such a wonderful film, Abhishek Kapoor, director. Because of his skill and hard work, Kai po che became one of the big hits of 2013.

So, if you guys are willing to watch a movie with a mark then buy a DVD or just download Kai po che. I am sure, you will love it too.

Dad... I am just different!!!

Ohk then... My first blog! Nervous but super excited! From past few days I was thinking to start blogging but always dropped the idea because I was so confused that what should be my first write up about? Should it be about my super cool mumma? Or my passion... Designing? Or should I write about my lovely friends? But then I thought and decided to write about my Dad. Actually, not about him but to him.

My Papa... A mumma's boy, an amazing brother and a lovable husband. Papa has always portrayed an ideal image in the society. He is a social person who becomes favorite of everybody around through his amazingly well knowledge and honesty. I have seen my dad always there for the people who need him. And yes, I want to give a stress on the fact that his knowledge is beyond imagination. I sometimes feel that he has 1000 GB memory fit in his brain with all the information of the world. I hope one day he will get selected in KBC so that I can be a millionaire :p

With all these good qualities in him, there was something which I never liked about him... His self-righteous attitude. Alike him, Papa always wanted me to be an engineer... And not only engineer but an IITian which was not at all my cup of tea. My creative side took me to the gates of Mass Communication. Papa was happy as he loves to read, write and express and thought that now I will also become a writer one day but again my route was different. Designing is something which I love to do. I may write in future like I am writing now but my first choice will always be to become a designer.

Many-a- times my choices were different from that of my dad which built a kind of a gap between us. There was always more communication gap and less understanding. I was never able to fulfill the dreams of my dad which he had seen for me that sometimes disappoints me. But today through this blog and tears in my eyes, I want to tell you Dad that you may be right all the time but I am also not wrong... I am just different!!!

I really want to do something big for you and one day I will. Just give me that freedom to have my own choice and believe in it. And yes, I know sometimes my dressing and friends makes you upset and worried... After all, you are a father of a young girl. But daddy, this is how I am and again my selection is also not wrong. Just believe in me and one day I will surely make you proud! I love you papa!!

And now, to all my friends or whosoever reading this blog... Call your dad, send a sms or just go straight to him and tell how much you love him... After all, he is the superhero of your life!
